1 Astronomical Unit,            Night Park Lane      Project Coordinator: Anthony van Bick With high streets all over Europe facing decline, various rejuvenation schemes are being introduced. So could this be an opportunity to bring astronomy to the high street? After all, nature abhors a vacuum. The initial objective of the project was to devise ways to convert a unit into an Aladdin’s cave for people interested in astronomy. For the sake of protecting assets and to avoid unwarranted interruptions it would be better if the premises were for “Members only” rather than open to the general public. Bearing this in mind, it would actually be easier to conduct operations from a residential base to begin with and just invite friends and acquaintances.
