The Renaissance Moors

            The Renaissance Moors

Tulip blossom from Modern Amsterdam The concept of The Renaissance Moors is a school of thought and an art genre ctreated by Anthony van Bick within the role of Chancellor of Vulnavia. The notion is built on the premise that Boabdil’s signature of surrender at La Alhambra on January 2nd 1492 triggered a supernova explosion in the Islamic world of art. Although this supernova explosion scattered the aspirations of the Moors to the wind, the process also created a black hole in which is stored all the knowledge and skills of the Moors. It is a matter of developing the state of mind to tap into this huge resource in order to create works of art which involve blending pictorial representations of the concepts of modern physics with traditional Islamic art. This art genre is entitled: The Renaissance Moors. The first edition of the Art Catalogue of The Renaissance Moors contains 300 works of art. This is in addition to 44 pieces of art used to decorate the Further Maths A-Level course “The Moors’ Windmills of Consuegra”.
